Auf meiner kleinen Insel ist entweder nichts oder viel los. So an diesem Tag: Ausstellungseröffnung und Forró-Workshop. Ich habe mich angemeldet.
Als ich die Vernissage verlasse, folgen mir bewundernde Blicke. Oder ist es Mitleid? Der Ruf: "Du lässt auch nichts aus!" erreicht mein auf Zwischenrufe trainiertes Ohr. STIMMT!
Ich komme zu spät, obwohl diese Eigenschaft normalerweise auf meine portugiesischen Gastgeber zutrifft. Doch diesmal stehen meine Mitstreiter pünktlich bereit. Sie stehen im Kreis, könnten fast alle meine Schüler sein und ...
...stellen sich vor. So ein Ärger, nun weiß es gleich jeder. Ich muss mich als Quotenausländerin und Forró-Großmutter zu erkennen geben.
Alle nennen brav ihren Namen und berichten überschwänglich von ihren Tanz- und Forró- Vorerfahrungen. Dies tun sie überaus ausführlich und ich überlege in Anbetracht meiner immer noch mangelhaften Sprachkompetenz und auch fehlender Forró-Erfahrung wie ich den Rückzug antreten kann. Schlaganfall? Herzinfarkt? Demenz? Verlaufen?

20 interessiere Augenpaare schauen mich viel zu neugierig an.
Ich stelle klar.
Ich heiße Sabine.
Ich bin aus Deutschland.
Ich spreche nur wenig Portugiesisch.
Ich kenne Forró nicht.
Ich werde nun englisch weiter sprechen.
Ich erkläre treuherzig, dass ich beim Anblick des ankündigenden Plakates dachte Forró sei ein Akkordeonworkshop und nicht - wie mir Wikipedia verriet - ein brasilianischer Tanz.
Ehrlichkeit siegt und so habe ich die Lacher auf meiner Seite.
Beim Tanzen lacht dann keiner mehr, denn ich habe Forró im Blut und der Rhythmus fällt mir leicht. Außerdem erfordern die Drehungen und Schrittfolgen uneingeschränkte Konzentration, sodass man nur sich selbst und allerhöchstens seinen Partner im Blick hat.
Manchmal hat man ihn auch in der Nase, denn Forró ist schweißtreibend. Der Erfolg des Tanzes hängt vom Partner ab und so hoppelt, gleitet oder stolpert man je nach Tänzer über das Parkett.
Forró macht Spaß. Fórro hält fit, denn wir trainieren viele Stunden. Forró macht jung, denn die Jugend meiner zuvorkommenden Tanzpartner, die meine Söhne sein könnten, fühlt sich gut an. Forró kennt keine Sprachbarrieren: um, dois, três, Entschuldigung, macht nichts, rechts, links, Drehung, noch Fragen!
Nach zwei Forró-Tagen und einer Forró-Party in der Nacht ist Forró vorbei. Schön war's! Doch wo ist meine Kytta-Salbe?
